Defence Ministry Seeks €150m Body Camera System in Biggest Live Tender

This week's standout Irish public tenders — what to watch and where the deadlines fall.

A €150m pre-qualification process for Body Worn Cameras with a Digital Evidence Management System is the standout notice of the week, signalling a significant modernisation push across the Defence Forces. Alongside it, a separate €50m body armour contract adds weight to what is shaping up as a major defence equipment cycle.

Two pre-qualification notices dominate: a €150m competition for Body Worn Cameras with an associated Digital Evidence Management System, and a €50m contract for the development, manufacture and maintenance of Body Armour. Both are at Stage 1, so suppliers not yet on the radar should move quickly to register interest before shortlisting closes.
