Call-off
As Gaeilge: Glao
Also known as: Call-off Contract, Drawdown
Last reviewed April 2026
An individual contract awarded to a supplier from an existing framework agreement, either by direct draw-down or mini-competition.
The act of buying under a framework agreement. Once a framework is in place (with one or more pre-qualified suppliers), individual contracts are 'called off' either directly (if the framework allows) or via a mini-competition between named suppliers. Most OGP frameworks in Ireland use mini-competition for substantial call-offs to preserve competitive tension and value for money.
