Summary
Dublin City Council are seeking tenders from competent firms for the Provision of Supply, Installation and Provision of Telecare Equipment and Alarm Monitoring Services. This would involve taking over the monitoring of equipment supplied under other agreements as well as monitoring of all newly installed equipment and existing pull cord monitoring.
The supply and installation of any new equipment during the term of the agreement would also be within scope. The winning tender must provide all of the above services.
Dublin City Council currently has a stock of approximately 3000 housing units, of which 1349 Telecare alarm units require monitoring immediately upon awarding to successful tenderer. The remaining units contain a pull cord type system (highlighted in appendix C) will require immediate monitoring services until they are upgraded to the new telecare alarm unit via the government run Pobal programme over a period of time to be agreed between the various stakeholders.
This Pobal programme applies to tenants over 65 years of age. One year after they have been installed under the Pobal programme, they will require monitoring under this contract.
For tenants under 65 years of age, which is estimated at approximately 30 percent (900 units) of the total units, they will require the successful tenderer to supply, install and monitor telecare alarm units immediately upon award of this procurement.. ie Resource ID 7551945.
Please note that this project is subject to funding.
